The delicious silver-toned bell canto Diva and Chairman of Lincoln Center was our mutual caviar-feeding-frenzy friend. Our happiest moments with her were sitting at the counter of Petrossian, as if it was a soda fountain, devouring those luscious Beluga pearls. Oh what fun we had: caviar, laughter, and gossip!

Her second best talent was telling hilarious stories, which she did during our photo session. Her request to me was, “Make me look like a high fashion model.”

Privately, she wore her heart gently on her sleeve and carried her own woes with grace and humor.
