My husband and I first met the very sexy and brilliant violin virtuoso, Chee Yun at a White House black-tie dinner hosted by President Clinton, where she performed for a stellar crowd that included violinist Isaac Stern and every VIP in DC—all of whom left reeling from both her charm and her talent. I had to photograph her! We have worked together ever since, but this shot certainly was the most fun. She flew up to our home in Martha’s Vineyard during the summer and we went out to Black Point Beach to create the necessary mood for a cover shot that reflected the romantic music of her newest album featuring Lalo’s Symphonie Espagnole and Saint-Saëns’ Violin Concerto No 1. Nature responded accordingly!
