MICK JAGGER Los Angeles 1982
Keith Richards’ opinions not withstanding, Mick Jagger—ah, Sir Michael Phillip—was polite, generous, fun, utterly charming, and a marvelous sport. During our last shoot in my Malibu studio, he offered my photo assistant a toke on a joint that rendered my awed helper utterly useless, leaving me to do all the work! How could I be upset; he would be able dine out on the story forever! After our session was over, I asked Mick if I could photograph him in a tee shirt that had the logo of a home for abused children on it. I wanted to send the kids the shot. Mick grabbed the shirt put it on and grinned for my camera one more time. He said, “Do anything you want to help those kids.”
